Can't seem to find a folder of the fonts for CS2 in the adobe folders. I can find the windows fonts, but it's not listed there. What can I do? Mac users swear by their computers. The Trojan Pro is an Open Type vs the standard True Type. I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that Word on Windows doesn't list it. ...Leo LOG IN TO REPLY |

You can move them to the Windows font folder for them to show in other applications - but be aware that most if not all versions of Word don't support the advanced features of many OpenType Pro fonts. Chances are that you can't even get at all the glyphs in Word (not sure whether things are any better in Word 2007). This is one reason I'm glad I have InDesign as part of my Creative Suite. Even the mighty InDesign CS3 has a few small omissions from its OpenType handling, but arguably is the best program for high end typography today. If you ever upgrade to CS3, keep a copy of C:Program FilesCommon FilesAdobeFonts if you're going to uninstall CS2, as the CS2 uninstaller will probably delete fonts it installed there. At least with the Creative Suite offerings (if not the standalone applications) there's some fonts in CS2 that aren't in CS3, and you'll want to reinstall them. This includes the entire Warnock Pro Opticals (which I think was a CS2 suite only bonus). David LOG IN TO REPLY |
